Tracy McNeil & The Good Life back at Maitland’s Junkyard for single tour

AT HOME: Maitland’s Grand Junction Hotel will host Tracy McNeil & The Good Life’s only show outside Melbourne and Sydney on their Stars single tour.WELCOME BACK Freshoff wooing audiences at the Grand Junction and Stag and Hunter Hotels last week, Melbourne Americana queen Tracy McNeil has wasted no time returning.McNeil will be back on November 9 with her band The Good Life to launch her new single Stars at Maitland’sThe Junkyard.

Stars, which boasts a more polished contemporary pop sound thanMcNeil’sacclaimed 2016 album Thieves, features on her forthcoming album You Be The Lightning, due for release early next year.

HEADS UP In-demand Newcastle indie artist Grace Turner obviously left a positive impression on Phil Jamieson when she supported his solo show at the Cambridge Hotel last month. The Grinspoon frontman has invited Turner to appear on his Headspace charity show, Magic Castle, in Port Macquarie on December 13. Jamieson will headline the show which raises money for people aged between 12 and 25 battling mental health issues.

LOADED Sixties soul-rock icon P.P Arnold is returning to for a tour backed by You Am I members Tim Rogers, Russell Hopkinson and Andy Kent,James Blackand The Wolfgramm Sisters. The 71-year-old American has sang with the likes of The Small Faces, Ike & Tina Turner, Barry Gibb and Boy George throughout her illustrious career.P.P Arnold performs at the Cambridge Hotel on December 9.

PROGRAMMED Brooding Sydney synth-pop duo Mezko are also coming to the Cambridge Hotel.Laura Bailey and Kat Harley are booked for November 15 with label mates Vowws on theirGuess Who single tour.
